On June 15, together with Midea, Originwater held a strategic cooperation press conference at the Shanghai International Water Exhibition. At the conference, Originwater mainly launched two products—“ultra-low pressure and high-flux” DF nanofiltration membrane and the “high-flux and high-desalination” reverse osmosis membrane. These two products, combined with China’s domestic water quality situation, broke the long-term monopoly of imported membrane on high-end water purifier market and showed the innovative power of China’s membrane to the world.

Originwater entered the household water purification market in 2011, and researched the reverse osmosis membrane and nanofiltration membrane; after years of effort, it eventually launched these two products with cross-era significance this year. Compared with the products on the current market, these two membrane products had obvious advantages. First, the “high-flux and high desalination” reverse osmosis membrane features “double high and one low”, namely high desalination rate, high flux and low pressure. This membrane product was stable and reliable, its desalination rate can reach 93% five minutes after dry membrane was installed, and the desalination rate can achieve a stable value in half an hour; the anti-pollution capacity was strong and the flux decrease rate within the service life was less than 10%; the unique operating technology of Originwater was used. The recovery rate of single filter element can remain more than 66%. For the “ultra-low pressure and high-flux” DF nanofiltration membrane, the membranes with different desalination rates can be selected according to the water quality in different regions, and there were the corresponding membrane products with desalination rate from 0% to 90%. This product also features low operating pressure, no need of booster pump, water generation by municipal water pressure, energy saving and no noise; according to the current water-saving call, the maximum recovery rate of this DF nanofiltration membrane can reach 75%, three cups of water can be purified and only a cup of waste water was generated, which can reduce waste.

It was reported that the news had been widely concerned in this strategy press conference and that was the latest on-line reverse osmosis production line of Originwater which was one of Asia’s largest and most advanced lines. According to the introduction of Mr. Zhao, good membrane needed a good production line, and the production line of Originwater had been updated in two generations until now. In the first generation of updating, the import cooperation mode was adopted, but there were many factors which were not suitable for local membrane production in the preparation process; for this problem, Originwater built a large number of R & D teams to independently develop their second production line through the efforts of more than a year. In this production line, a number of independent intellectual property right systems were added, the membrane forming rate reached 90% or more and it was in a leading position in the country and Asia. The publish of this line, good formula of Originwater and advanced technology would enable water purifier to be developed from the more complex product to the low-waste water and low pressure product without electricity and barrel, so that people can use the low-cost and high-efficiency water purifier, which laid a good foundation for Originwater to create “China Element” national brand.

In the end, Mr. Liang said that the release of these two products was significantly meaningful for the water purification industry, and this cooperation between Originwater and Midea reflected that Originwater would share the core membrane preparation technology with the leading enterprises in this industry and create the “China Element” brand jointly. Originwater also hoped to cooperate with more water purification enterprises to create a stronger national membrane brand.
